this seminar was the opportunity to learn a lot about the process, but also to meet other craft distillers who have the same passion as me.
On September 10th-11th, 2019, the Ethanol Technology Institute in conjonction with LBDS, held its third edition of The Alcohol School Extra Credit Craft Distilling Seminar in Montreal ,Quebec, Canada. This seminar is designed and dedicated for the growing craft distilling industry.
As per the design of our annually held Alcohol School, the participants have the opportunity to review and learn theory from the beginning of the process of making distilled beverages, through important factors to consider for fermentation, to the maturation aspects. The seminar is also designed to be interactive and participative with discussion panels including comments from well known experts from the industry.
The attendees partake also in sensory sessions to learn to identify product defects as well as evaluate different aspects of maturation (barrel charring, wood chips, age statements, etc). The delegates also participate in networking events with our Alcohol School to get the chance to learn from other people within in this industry.
Based on the feedback from our participants, The Extra Credit Craft Distilling Seminar is the new reference in the industry due to our professionalism and the overabundance of distilling experience present in the agenda and networking session within the course.
We look forward to seeing you in the next Craft Distilling Seminar!
